hi ladies, I am sooooo lost rn

To make a long story short, my ex of a good year broke up back in September and it destroyed me. We didn’t talk for a while but then in November, he contacted me saying he messed up and made the biggest mistake of his life and wanted me back. After hours of talking and figuring things out, we decided to take things suuuuper slow.

So far, everything is going well. There are some days where I do think about how he hurt me when he dumped me and everything that went on after that, but that’s only on some days. Most of my friends are super against it though, which I guess I get where they’re coming from. They did watch the aftermath of him dumping me.

I guess my question is, what is your opinion on getting back with an ex? Any success stories? Am I just being a big dummy and wasting my time? Or is this alright? Something about him just tells me this is okay and this is the right choice, but then my friends just yell at me and it makes me frazzled.
