She cries every time he holds her

For Thanksgiving we went to my husband’s papas house. My daughter doesn’t cry when a stranger holds her or gets near her, but when we had Thanksgiving dinner at his house, his papa held her for the first time and she cried, never stopped. Well she had never done that with anyone else so it was threw me off, so Saturday we had Christmas at his house and every single time someone would sit her in his lap or he would talk to her, she’d cry. I feel so bad because he’s old and just wants to play/talk with/to her but I’m not sure why she cries every time because she’s met plenty of strangers (strangers to her, family she hadn’t met) and let them hold her without crying but it’s only him. Anyone else have this issue?
