My little one is 5 days old and we are exclusively breastfeeding. My

Problem is that my nipples are complete agony!!

His latch is fine but I find he’s pacifying on me and when he switches from actively eating, which he seems very vigorous, to sleeping comfort sucking he does pull my nipple and has a bad latch I think.

He seems to pinch my areola with his gums also.

I’m using nipple cream because my nipples are so cracked bleeding and sore but does anyone have any advice?!

I have the midwife coming round on Boxing Day so I’m going to ask her but I’m in absolute agony
