It is currently 3:40am. Yesterday, around 11:30am, my 2.5 yr old was playing around. We have a counter height bar so he likes to hig under it occasionally. He fits perfect underthere when he walks in. Anyway, yesterday he was playing tol hard, that tgis child jumped up ehile underthere and hit the top of his head HARD. Like, the bump was loud. He took about 3 seconds to react because I guess he was as shocked as I was.

Idk if I did wrong to not take him to the hospital right away. I kind of brushed it off because i was so busy, but i still observed him.. he has seemed okay all day, ithink he was just a little clumsy right after it happened and somewhat fussy during the day, but nothing unusual since he was playing around and laughing like normal.

I just woke up and I cannot stop thinking about it and about my child dying because of a slow brain bleed due to that hard bump. I shook him alittle bit just now and he moved around and flipped to his belly so that's a good reaction but idk if i should take him to an ER/Urgent care when he wakes up to get him checked. I probably should to make sure he's okay 😭😭 i'm probably not gonna have peace of mind and i feel stupid for not going in right when it happened and i feel like if something happens to him now because of it it's my fault for not taking it seriously.

Would it be too late to take him in to be seen? I'm strongly considering calling the nurse line for his insurance but I don't want to be judged for waiting. I feel like a terrible mom.
