Sex to induce labor??

My husband and I had sex the other night, about 30 minutes later I started getting some painful yet tolerable contractions that were about 5 minutes apart and lasted 30-45 seconds. These contractions lasted for 3 hours and then the contractions started to die down and I finally fell asleep. We had sex again the next morning and this time, the contractions were a little bit stronger and lasted for 4 hours before they finally went away. Does anyone think we should keep trying this and see if one of these times it actually puts me into labor?? I also lost my mucus plug 2 days ago and we haven’t had sex since I lost my plug. I’m 38+4 and so desperate to get this baby out!
