most recommended birth control!?

i posted something about this b4 but i've been really sexually active lately & really need to get on birth control. i keep having to take plan b which i know is horrible for my body.. but i'm really scared that birth control will cause me to gain weight or make me moody. so was wondering what do u guys recommend? 🤷‍♀️

all forms of birth control is different for everyone. Of course you’ll get moody or weight gain, it’s a bunch of hormones...if you’re so freaked start with baby steps and at keast use condoms

I was on the pill for three years and it only made me gain a couple pounds, I have the arm implant now and I didn’t have my period the first 7 months then I’d get it for two weeks out of the month now I only get it two days every two weeks. I’ve heard horror stories about it though but I know when the time runs out on the one I have I’m getting a new one put in.

You're scared of birth control's side effects, but not what taking plan b multiple times will do? The only person who can help you decide what is best for you is you and your doctor. Its kinda trial and error when it comes to stuff like that. A non hormonal IUD will last the longest and won't have as many hormonal side effects like weight gain and acne. Condoms are also an option. They 100% wont cause weight gain, they make lots of different kinds too (I always liked the ribbed ones or studded ones) thin ones, large ones, extra lube, non latex etc. If you're in a commited relationship, fertility awareness method is a great option. It worked for me until i decided i wanted to get pregnant. I basically tracked my cycle like was trying to get pregnant. I temped every morning and didnt let my boyfriend cum in me until after I confirmed ovulation (three days of higher temps). You can also use condoms until you confirm ovulation if pulling out scares you. You can pair spermicide lube with the pullout method, theres diaphragms which is a non hormonal barrier method usually paired with a spermicide gel. Theres lots of non hormonal birth control options, you'll just have to go over your options with your partner and your doctor.

JK JK, it’s not foolproof but I like condoms. My body didn’t do too well with the hormones so that ended up being the best option for me.
