How long did you date SO before getting engaged?

I have a 1 year old and have been with my BF for about 5 months. He’s absolutely wonderful and everything I’ve ever dreamed of. Plus he’s an amazing dad to my daughter as her biological dad isn’t in her life.  Well I found the receipt  and bag to a jeweler where I believe my bf bought an engagement ring. Obviously I want to marry him but I’m worried people will think bad of us if we get engaged so soon

"Officially" together for 6 months, and we got married and skipped engaged. Though we were unofficially together for about a year prior to making it official. We've been married a year.

Don’t worry about other’s opinions. If he is good to you and to your child, there ya go, especially if you feel it’s right. My husband and I started dating when my daughter was 1, and we got engaged a couple months later and married 4 months after the engagement. When you know you know ❤️

I’ve been with my boyfriend for three and a half years and I want him to propose like now haha. But we’re waiting till he’s done with college we’re young (21) so not like we don’t have time but every relationship is different it’s not one else’s business to tell you if soemthing is too soon. My now husband and I met March 1st of this year. We basically started dating the day we met. I got pregnant 2.5 months later in May. He proposed in September and we got married in October. We are about to welcome boy/girl twins in 3 weeks. Not what either of us planned, but we couldn’t be happier. Definitely love at first sight which I’ve never thought existed before meeting him. Don’t worry about what others think🙂

We were dating for a bit less then 6 months when my fiancé proposed. By the time we get married we will have just been together for a year. When you know it’s right, you just know. One thing I definitely recommend is to live together before getting married. It’s important to see how they live, division of chores and money management. That’s my opinion.
