My 9 month old has a blocked tear duct and it seems infected on and off. Tried ointments and drops and still comes and goes. 2 days ago I noticed a small amount of redness on one side of the eye. Like pink eye but only in this specific spot and it’s been there since then. Anyone’s LO ever have like a partial pink eye? I thought pink eye would cover all the whites.

Up close it looks like it has a tint of yellowing in there. But could just be the light.

Also, I googled. (Shouldn’t have, but did..).

One of the things I came across: HERPES KERATITIS (which is HSV in the eye). I Didn’t have a cold sore outbreak so not sure but still a possibility and is freaking me out.

Doc knew during the appt about the pus etc and said it’s blocked tear duct but there was no redness at the time.

Am I overthinking this. Tell me I’m overthinking this.

Will still put ointment and do warm compresses and trying to get an appt with ophthalmologist so we’ll see.
