Willow vs Elvie?

Does anyone have any recommendations on the willow breast pump vs the elvie?

I definetly love my Willow but then again I haven't tried the Elvie. It has a learning curve of at least 2-3 attempts but by your 3rd or 4th time you will be a Pro. Nothing like been able to pump at work while seen patients, rounding, during deliveries or even while driving. It gives the freedom of been able to pump on schedule.

I have both the Elvie and Willow. My recommendation is the Elvie for 3 main reasons: 1. It is smaller than the willow, but has a larger capacity, 2. It is much quieter than the willow, and 3. It works better for me. 
Here's my in-depth recommendation:
I am an exclusive pumper and have been since day one  My son had latching issues from the beginning. I started out with a Medela PISA. I used it for 5 months and even though it worked just fine, I hated being strapped into it and immobile. I purchased the Willow 2.0 first. I not only had to pay the $500 for the pumps, but then I had to order 2 sets of containers (4 total), 2 flextubes, and an extra charger so I could charge both at them same time. The Elvie comes with everything included (pumps, 2 chargers, 4 bottles with flanges and valves). So that was another almost $200 extra. I was so excited when my willow arrived so I could move. The willow is HUGE. I have DD boobs so they are extremely noticable. I look like Dolly Parton with them on at work... I was okay with this because I wanted the freedom. Then I started having issues with my containers. Within the first couple weeks all 4 of my containers had acted up (sucking in air and giving high oz counts). It was stressful. I spent over 15 minutes at work one day trying to just get the pumps to attach. This was after I had them for weeks so it wasn't a user error. It is the containers. Willows customer is great though, I do have to say. They know that the containers are a problem though... They were nice enough to send me 4 new containers as they were not even a month old yet. After the emails back and forth to customer service and the daily panic attacks that my pump wouldn't work, or that I would have to take the pump off every 5 minutes to empty the "full" container that would have less than an oz in it, I ordered the Elvie. It has been a life changer for me. It is infinitely quieter than the willow (which in my small office that I share, is amazing), it is at least half the weight of the willow, half the width (so no one even knows I have them on instead of looking like Dolly Parton) and there are no issues. This is mainly due to the fact that the Elvie is made to use containers where the willow was made to use bags. Another great part about the Elvie is that you can change what side the pump is on just by the press of a button. For the willow, you can't do anything about it if you put the pump on the wrong side. The app will be wrong (right will be left). Another great thing with the Elvie is that you can manually choose between expression and stimulation which is amazing and the willow does not let you do. With the willow, if you pump more than 4 oz on a side (or less with all the air it sucks in) you have to take it off and empty it and when you go to put it back on it'll enter stimulation mode and won't enter expression mode until you have so much milk produced. That makes it extremely difficult to use after emptying. I use the willow at home and leave the Elvie locked up at work so I don't have to go back and forth. I bring my elvie home on weekends and use it the entire weekend because it's my favorite and it's easier to travel with. 
TLDR; buy the Elvie.

I have the Willow pump. There is a learning curve and I have had a hell of a time getting it into expression mode, even with following all the tips and tricks that is recommended. I absolutely recommend getting the reusable container. Unlike the Elvie pump, you do have the option of using the bags or a container. I would say the bag would be convenient if you’re out and about and would just be freezing the milk from that session. I also would say that the app is not very accurate. On my left breast, which sometimes produces more, it always says in simulation mode or is not capturing the oz as they are happening. So in the app it looks like my left breast only produces .7 or less oz and the right one has several oz with no issue. Wish there was a way to actually update what the production is within the app. I use Glow & the Medela app to keep track.

The Elvie has been a game changer for me. First, it is so much more comfortable and feels so much more natural - the first time I used it I felt my other breast let down just like when my son nurses! It is also just so convenient. It holds one once more than the Willow, but often thinks it’s “full” around 4.5oz. Fortunately, the bottle is external so you can literally pop it off, stick on another, and keep pumping without ever taking the pump off your breast. It also has a bit of a learning curve (I have definitely had my nipple off center and not realized!) but it is overall easy and intuitive. I also love the app. The pump is nearly silent so I can use it while making calls or doing telehealth sessions. I don’t wear it while seeing patients because I only pump one side at a time and would look VERY lopsided. But being able to pump while driving home is also so amazing. This isn’t a work horse like a Medela, but feels more like actual nursing, and I can do it anywhere. Every woman needs one of these.

I love my Elvie. I was concerned it wouldn’t get as much as my spectra but it does. And for all the reasons the other person mentioned especially that it goes to expression mode after 2 mins. With willow you need .5 oz. I pump after nursing so this was a big one for me. If anyone decides to get Elvie use my name (Christina Slowey) and u get 25$ off.

I absolutely loved my Willow. 
I was an exclusive pumper for my son’s first year of his life. When my son became mobile at 5.5 months I needed another solution to be able to still pump while crawling around with my son.
I got way more than I wanted with Willow. With this pump, I was able to play, chase my crawling kid, and even nap while pumping. Game. Changer.
I love the option of pumping into bags or into the containers. I had tried many other on-the-go solutions, including Freemie cups, and I hated how restricting it was when it came time to transfer milk. In the car, I frequently spilled because of the instability. Being able to pump directly into a sealed bag was more than convenient. It was exactly what I needed
