Doxycycline safe in TWW? -online says okay

Soo long story short. I work in a LTCF & while I was @ work Christmas night I got bit by a patient. (Through my sweater & they didn’t break the skin) but the ER dr who evaluated me said to take the antibiotic just Incase it starts getting infected. He tested me for pregnancy & it was negative (I’m not due for another 10 or so days so I knew it would be negative) & he said it wasn’t safe to take in pregnancy..

Online says it’s safe in early pregnancy but after 15 weeks it can cause bone abnormalities & teeth staining so I’m not sure anymore..
