My parents are Anti-vax and I’m so stressed about it

THIS IS NOT UP FOR DEBATE- IF YOU ARE ANTI-VAX, PLEASE MOVE ALONG

My mother and father are adamant anti-vaccination. Although we are very early on in pregnancy, I am very concerned about them coming into contact with my baby without having been vaccinated. The thought of not allowing them to be a part of my child’s life makes me so sad, but I just cannot bring myself to taking the risk for my child’s health and safety.

I brought it up already, and told my mom that she will not be allowed to touch or hold my baby if she chooses not to get vaccinated. And her response was that I have been “fear-mongered” by the CDC. I presented her with factual evidence that vaccinations make a significant difference. But she insists that since she’s never had the flu it’s impossible for her to be a carrier, quoting Robert Kennedy Jr. and all. It’s literally like speaking to a brick wall.

This is going to be an uphill battle with them. I’m wondering if anyone has had similar problems with family members, and how did you go about handling it. I don’t know how far it’s worth fighting this for the next 7-8 months. Should I stand my ground or make a compromise and let them very briefly hold the baby only if they are wearing masks and thoroughly washing their hands.
