Have you gained or lost weight while breastfeeding?

I’m 18 weeks PP- constantly hungry and gaining weight, I thought you were supposed to lose weight nursing 😫 I’m 5’7” and before I got pregnant I was 150lbs, got up to 195 at 39 weeks and now I’m 174 😭

I gained 60 pounds and have lost only 30 of it. I have been breast feeding for over 11 months. I think im not losing anymore weight because of my birth control. Oh well. It will eventually come off I hope haha

I have been losing far too much weight because of breastfeeding.☹️ it’s made me so insecure and unhappy with myself . I was always smaller . 124lbs prepregnancy , got sick first trimester I dropped to 119lbs. Then the day I gave birth I gained 31lbs and weighed 150lbs. As soon as I left the hospital I was about 131lbs. And I’m 10 months PP EBF and weigh only 110lbs.

Yeah I was waiting for this lost weight breastfeeding thing to happen to me as well and it didn’t. Everything stuck to me like glue. I didn’t start to lose any weight until 4-5 months after giving birth and it was a sloowww process. Be patient with yourself- it’s a short time in your life- you will go back to your old self, not to worry!

I had lost 37lbs at my 6w checkup and have maintained that weight since then and am a year pp and still nursing.

I didn’t gain weight but I held on to about 5-10 extra pounds of fat while nursing. I was even working out while nursing and I still couldn’t lose the last bit of baby weight. As soon as I stopped nursing at 12 months pp, I dropped the last bit of weight plus some. And now I’m pregnant and chubby again lol. 🤦🏾‍♀️
