WHAT IS THIS??

Okay so I’m on the birth control patch and stopped having my period about two months ago (by choice) and then the other day I had real light pink spotting which then turned to light bleeding so I just thought oh okay maybe I got a period, so I put a tampon in and I later take it out and it has this thick pink kinda like uterus lining and I’m not sure if that’s what it is but since that I haven’t been bleeding anymore?? Anyone know what this could be??

Edit: if you’ve experienced this, how long did it happen for?
