My son is just over 2 and a half. We just started potty training. He used to be afraid of the toilet and not sit on it. He will now sit on it and ask to sit on it. He will not pee on it. Sometimes we can get him to poop because he has a ‘poop face’ when he is about to go, so if we catch it, we can get him to sit on the toilet. I am having him sit every hour on the toilet through the day. I have tried underwear, and he recognizes when he is wet. But when we sit on the potty he doesn’t do anything, we get all situated to leave the bathroom then he pees in his pants. Wearing underwear was a battle until 2 days ago.... am I forcing this too soon? Should I keep having him sit? Sitting on the toilet isn’t the issue, it’s actually going.

Side note: we have twin one year olds also, so it’s very chaotic around my house!
