What do your children call their stepparents?

I don’t want to be like “go to (name)” I want there to be a name for my daughter to call him. She is only 5 months old right now. Her biological dad is still around but her stepdad is more of a father than he is. And I don’t want her to call him “stepdad”

We let our kids decide themselves. My step son has called me mommy since day 1. We tried correcting him and telling him my name for a long time and he still called me mommy so we just stopped trying to tell him otherwise. He may change his mind when he’s older, who knows. He’s almost 4 and I’ve been around for 3 years. My son calls my husband either by name or will sometimes call him daddy. We just let them do whatever they are comfortable with

I grew up not being very close to my bio dad he was there when he wanted to be it was maybe every second weekend I would see him sometimes he never showed up etc. But my mum's partner who was there when I was younger since I was born I still called dad. I had my bio dad who I called daddy and my always there dad who I called daddy 'insert name'. My dad did find this very hard though I remember being about 6 and wearing a bracelet when he asked where i got it and I said daddy Jim he shouted at me for using the word dad. My mum and Jim broke up when i was around 2, I don't have any contact with either dad's now but I still refer to Jim as Daddy Jim and tbh I would still count myself closer to him than my bio dad. So I guess it's maybe something u and your partner can discuss and find what's comfortable.
