Yes of course. My daughter was five months old and tested positive for the flu. She was almost hospitalized because the flu was so bad. And this was two years ago when we kept hearing about kids and others dying left and right from the flu. 
As someone else mentioned: If a doctor prescribed it, that means they’ve weighed the pros and cons and it’s worth giving to your kid.

My 3 yr old and 7 month old were diagnosed with the flu last week... doc prescribed tamiflu for both. I gave one dose to each and then freaked out when I did my research. I didn’t give any other doses and both recovered from the flu within a day or two 🤷🏻‍♀️

Nope! Right when tamiflu came out, (work in the hospital) we had someone get kidney failure. Tamiflu is not thw way to go

Tamiflu worked great for our family. It’s hard to get for some people with their insurance, some don’t cover it or can’t afford to get it. If yours does- I would! 
Flu kicked our butts to all being in the hospital for fluids, high risk. We all had NO side effects and it got us better in a day! My other option was to wait it out and see if pneumonia developed- which was what happened to our toddlers friend. She was in for 2.5 weeks in pediatric icu. Flu isn’t something you want to mess with- complications can come fast and furious if you’re not careful 😕

I work for a pediatric office and we don’t prescribe it as preventative measures but if they are positive or had a sibling/family member positive and start showing symptoms we will. I heard the liquid tastes pretty bad though, so depending on age maybe try and mask the flavor some. I often say if you can’t get it in them though I wouldn’t force it. It is mainly made to try and help lessen/shorten symptoms but it isn’t the end of the world I’d they don’t take it all unlike antibiotics.
