Anyone have tips with gestational diabetes?

What were your symptoms, if any? Did anyone get tested earlier than the usual time frame? My aunt just got diagnosed with diabetes so I am paranoid of everything 😓

This is my second GD pregnancy. Was diagnosed at 11 weeks this time. I have no symptoms and no risk factors. I’m skinny and have no family history 🤷🏼‍♀️ it’s no big deal though if you have it. I’ve never had a pregnancy without it so I don’t know any different lol I just watch my carbs and check my sugar twice a day. My numbers are easily controlled with diet so I don’t have to check 4 times a day like most people

Most women have no symptoms as The symptoms of diabetes can mimic pregnancy symptoms- excess thirst, peeing a lot. Just screen and watch your weight if you have family history

I got tested at about 18 weeks I think from memory cause my mum, Aunty and nan all had it. Mine came back clear... will still have to do it again at 28 weeks though
