Baby shower in our new house?

Ladies who had their baby shower at their home- do you recommend it? We are moving into our new home January 21st and our baby shower will be February 8th. My MIL and other in laws as well as my mom are planning it, and my MIL wants to “host” it in our new home. I don’t even know if we’ll be fully moved in let alone have furniture by then. Not to mention I’m really not sure if our home is big enough to host a party of 50+.

Hubby and me do agree though that it will be much more convenient than having to haul home a bunch of gifts. Thoughts ladies?
