Hard Topic
Say that you are a parent, and your child that is 12 years old comes to you and says “mommy/daddy” touched me or you find out that the child confided in a friend, over text, that their other parent touched them and they didn’t know who to tell.
Say that you possibly talk to the other parent about it and they get upset and claim that the child is lying, and TELL the child they are lying.
Who do you believe in that situation? The child or your significant other?
And if you believe the child then do you believe that, because you love your significant other, that you should still be with them and not acknowledge it happened/ keep that child in that situation?
(Edit: Keep in mind I am the child who was molested, not the parent asking what to do.)
