A few weeks ago an obgyn’s licence was temporarily suspended due to testing positive for the second time for methamphetamine. In the article it says that prior to this he was on a monitoring agreement with the board.

I personally don’t think he should have ever been on a monitoring agreement and given another chance after the first incident. He’s caring for patients and if you get caught even once doing something like this you should automatically have your licence revoked for a minimum of a few years and then have to go through extensive checks to ensure you are sober before ever being allowed to practice again.

I just can’t help but think how many peoples lives he may have put in risk during the time he was using meth while on the job.
