Baby Scratching?

My son is a week shy of 6 months and for the last month to six weeks or so he has been scratching EVERYTHING he touches with his little hands. It’s like he needs to really feel the texture of everything he comes into contact with. He scratches the couch, the carpet, his play mat, his bottle, his mattress, his clothing, his seatbelt, his high chair, the SKIN on the arms of whoever is holding him...everything. I have to dress him very quickly after his bath or he’ll scratch his chest raw. Anyone else got a scratcher?? 😫
