Did padsicles really help with postpartum?

If so what was your recipe?

I just used the ice packs the hospital gave me. I had a lot of swelling down there (pushed for over 3 hours) and used a ton the three days we were in the hospital. I took about four home with me and by that time, I only needed to use them before bedtime. I still have one left that won’t get used. Padsicles probably would help, but you likely won’t need them as much as you think you will by the time you get home.

Yes, they were nice. I used them a lot with my first, who I tore pretty bad with. I actually haven't used them at all with my second though (I had him just over a week ago, and didn't tear as bad, so I haven't really felt the need to make any).
I took a spray bottle, and filled it up and added a few drops of essential oils. I think I did lavender, and I'm not sure what else... Anyway, then I just sprayed the pads until they were a little damp on the surface and put them in the freezer.
