I have the flu. The first day I was sick was December 20th and my nieces birthday party is Jan 5th. The flu can be contagious up to 7 days but If you have a compromised immune system (I do) you can be contagious for longer or until your symptoms start fading. Obviously if I’m still feeling this bad I won’t go, I’ll just send a gift with my mom. But I’m not sure how okay it would be for me to go even if I am feeling good. I keep going up and down. I have been invited anyways but they don’t know that I have a crappy immune system and probably just guessed there’s no way I’d still be contagious. It might be over the top to worry but she’s just a 1 yr old baby and I don’t wanna get her sick 😔 I saw her yesterday and I wouldn’t even pick her up because I’m too nervous that I’m contagious.
