Seeing as you have dry skin, it could worsen from using a face cleanser that has salicylic acid in it as well as not moisturizing your skin enough. I will put products of things that I suggest below;Face Cleanser:Ideally, you want to wash your face at the sink, when washing in the shower we aren't as cautious as we would be with the water as we would at the skin.CeraVe Hydrating cleanser is great for dry skin as it's more of a creamy cleanser that is gentle to the skin. I used tbis the most when my skin was super dry.CeraVe Foaming cleanser is what I mainly use right now. I moved to Alaska and my skin when from bine dry to extremely oily. This is still very gentle, but still cleans the oil from my skin.Murad Clarifying cleanser is AMAZING, although it does dry out dry skin so you have to over compensate with moisturizer which is fine if you're dealing with acne and breakouts.Exfoliators:There's 2 types chemical and physical. Chemical exfoliants are ideal because they take away the dead skin with just a little aggitation of the skin, physical exfoliants are nice for dry skin because they can help take away the flakes, but can cause microtears in the skin which then can cause breakouts. These aren't suggest for acne prone skin because it would just worsen your skin. The Ordinary Peeling Solution, I have not used this yet, but it has amazing reviews! Use 1 time a week.Skinfood Rice Scrub foam is gentle and isn't likely to cause microtears in the skin. It says it's a wash, but I wouldn't recommend using this as a wash, but as a scrub/exfoliant 2-3 times a week.I would highly recommend this because it's a gel that you rub onto the face and creates little balls of dead, dry skin. This would be used 1-2 times a week depending on how your skin feels.Toners/Essences:You want to begin your skincare right after cleansing your face and PATTING it dry as its the most optimal time and your face soaks in more of the product.Thayer's ALCOHOL FREE witch hazel, they have many scents, but I find that the cucumber is the most calming. They also have an unscented which I would use if you have sensitive skin. This is similar to the spray you are using right now, but will helo with the overall tone and texture (dryness) of your face.Elf Hydrating essence os nice for after your toner because it's the first layer of hydration and aids the next product to aid your skin. (Not necessary to have bith a toner and essence, but it's nice for just helping the skin care products soak in and keep your face hydrated.)Serums:I haven't had experience in serums, but they just have good ingredients for all sprts of skin types and issues. This one is kind of a catch all, it has all the good ingredients needed for dry skin!Moisturizers:IMPORTANT. IMPORTANT. IMPORTANT. You can actually cause yourself to break out and have oily skin if you don't moisturize enough! Your skin is still dehydrated and over compensates with excess oil.THIS IS AMAZING! I have used both this and the oily skin one. This one is just a little thicker. This is the motherlode of moisturization! It will most definitely help your dry skin. If anything just get this moisturizer and you will be set! Also, make sure you're putting sunscreen on your face and neck when going out in the daytime. Anything above SPF 15. I hope this helps!
