Introduced the potty

He got a potty from Santa hes now started to sit on it while I read him his potty book and sing the potty song he likes sitting on it so far not done anything should I just keep letting him sit on it to get used to it he wears pull ups so it's not a big deal taking his nappy off he's 14 mo so I know it's super early it is in our bathroom so he only goes on it when I'm using the bathroom or cleaning ect is this okay? I don't want to like scare him from it ? Also have no idea how to actually potty train ? Just follow his lead?clueless!
