“Your baby is a mistake and I hope it dies. If it doesn’t, put it up for adoption because you two will never be good parents. Also f*** you, [my fiancé name], f*** you for getting her pregnant. You’re a f***ing idiot and you ruined my life. F*** you!!! I have a lot of regrets, and the biggest one is having you. Mistake. Mistake. Mistake. Your baby is a fucking mistake. I hope that mistake dies. Huge fucking mistake.” - last night from the man who has the audacity to call himself my father, let alone a father at all.

My fiancé and I are 23 years old and I am 27 weeks pregnant.

All of that was said to us by my father last night because I got upset that my twin brother (also 23 years old, their baby boy and my parents’ prized trophy possession) got aggressive and physically backed me into a corner and threw food (a whole plate of freshly fried and hot-greasy chicken nuggets) at me for absolutely no other reason but to abuse me, and all that was said to us because I told my piece of sh!t brother to apologize for scaring me from backing me into a corner.

My fiancé was ready to beat the sh!t out of both of them (my father and brother), but thankfully didn’t as it was their home and we knew they would skew the event in some way that would get my fiancé arrested. They’re very skilled with their words and especially at using the perfect words to manipulate cops into having no choice but to do what they want. It’s a skill my mother would brag about to her friends a lot when I was younger. Until they started doing it to me. Then that skill was never spoken about to anyone, because I was living it, and they wanted to appear as perfect parents who loved both of their children to anyone who would listen.

We promptly left after. As I was packing my stuff up upstairs, my mother was threatening my fiancé over my health insurance, saying that if we leave the house tonight that they’re taking me off the health insurance plan and absolutely going to let me die. I’m type 1 diabetic and 100% insulin dependent, have been since I myself was 9 months old. I can die from not having the specific kind of insulin I personally need in less that 6-12 hours.

My medical condition is the only reason why I haven’t been able to 100% cut off all contact with them. I am tied to their abuse because of my medical condition that they have to pay to keep me alive.

All over chicken nuggets and not wanting to be scared into a corner.

We left anyways.

My ‘father’ has never been in my life despite living in the same house as him. He molested me at age 6. Beat me senseless and gave me severe concussions whenever I would try to stand up for myself. When I came out this year to my mother about the sexual abuse when I was 6 years old, she cried and became furious at me because she was jealous and said “he touched you but not me?!? He never wants to do anything like that with me!!”

I left my family’s home for almost an entire year when my fiancé and I started dating. I finally had a safe place to escape to, so you bet your bottom dollar I left. They would try to reach out despite knowing I had cut them off and wanted nothing to do with them. Each time they would play games and manipulate their way back into my life, only for them to pull some sh!t and I cut them off again. Either with ‘love’, or with threats to my health and my insurance.

Last night was the final straw. I’ll find health my own insurance if they truly do try to indirectly kill me.

My daughter is my first priority.

I will never let those people around my daughter. They will never meet her. They knew this was their last chance too, because I explicitly told them after the last issue.

If he wasn’t afraid to do any of those things to me, let alone saying he hopes my daughter dies... there’s absolutely no chance after something as evil as that. Absolutely no f*cking chance. I have no doubt this man and those people would harm my daughter, or worse, like they did to me.

So it’s absolutely a no brainer.

I told them we were leaving, and my father laughed while still repeating how much of a mistake my daughter is and hoping that she dies, and then laughed to my mother saying “they’ll be back, and they’ll be real f*cking sorry then.”

So to my birth family: good f*cking riddance. This is the last traumatic experience you’ll ever give me.
