Hey mamas, I’m just wondering what all symptoms anyone has had who’s suffered from mastitis. I pump for my 3 week old during the day and I breastfeed at night. I usually pump 2-3.5 oz ever 2-3 hours ( my babe usually eats the full 3 oz and will breastfeed till he’s good and full) but suddenly my breasts, mainly my left and more productive one has been extremely sore, especially while breastfeeding and pumping. Like a really bad bruise. It feels somewhat hard all the time and slightly swollen. My nipples hurt as well, not like when I first started breastfeeding tho. So far, soreness and pain are my only symptoms and I’m afraid of getting mastitis. My cousin had it and said it was worse than actual childbirth.

It makes me dread nursing and pumping 😥
