introverted dating

Advice needed. I'm 33 and I am single. I am really finding it hard to meet anyone. I am currently signed up to a couple of dating sites but find it hard to be attracted to someone from a picture and a small description. But it's worse in real life if I like someone I turn into a teenager again I become awkward and quiet and blush. I have dated in the past and had a long term relationship but they were with guys who were confident and asked me out and to be completely honest I liked as people but wasn't massively attracted too. God that sounds awful to say. I really would love to hear from introverts how they meet their partners?
