What does 50th percentile mean?

My midwife says my baby girl is in the 50th percentile what does this mean? What weight will she be? I’m 34weeks today

If it’s weight it means that 50% of babies will weigh more than her and 50% of babies weigh less.  It doesn’t give any indication as to what your baby’s birth weight will be.

Just like everyone has basically said...another way to think of it is..... out of 100 kids, the kid is taller or weighs more than 50 kids...and weighs less and shorter than 50 kids.
My daughter is in the 90th percentile for height. Out of 100 kids, she's taller than 90 of them.

It just means she's in the middle of the spectrum for other babies' sizes at that time.
