Transitioning from breastmilk to formula

Baby hates formula and has been exclusively fed bottled breast milk. How in the world does this transitioning thing work and how long will it take?

Sincerely,

One confused mamma 😵😵

How old baby? You can mix breastmilk with formula do one oz of formula and rest breastmilk till baby gets used to the taste. Then slowly increase it much easier on there stomach that way to.

Aside from mixing transitions as suggested by other posters, taste test your formula yourself! Most formulas taste horrible compared to sweet breastmilk (there’s a reason babies love it). We decided on Similac Sensitive non gmo (everything else we tried tasted awful).

Ok cool ty! I haven't tasted it because it STINKS 😫😷😫. I did double check to make sure it wasn't expired. Once I made the bottle and smelled it I was like NO WAY little lady is going to drink this!! She probably gave me the meanest ..what the hell look I have ever seen when she tasted that formula hahaha 😂😂.

Mix the two together...at first do like 75/25 (breastmilk/formula). If baby won't drink that, then do even more breast milk to formula. After a couple of days, increase the formla to like 50/50, then after a couple more days do 25/75, etc. until you get to all formula.
