What could this be?

My baby boy 4 months has like dry patches all over his belly, a few on his back, starting to come up on his cheeks & it initially started on the back of his legs. Doctors are booked up & just gave me eczema sample lotions to try but none of them are working so far.

It looks like eczema to me. It could be caused from a daily allergy, therefore causing the lotions not to help, because you’re still giving him what’s causing it. I would try to get into the doctor ASAP and have an allergy test done

My son’s eczema looks like that. We use a cortisone eczema cream but you’ll need to talk to a doctor first to make sure they’re okay with that. I put it on him once a day, every day for a week, and then take a week off. On the off weeks we use Baby Aveeno eczema lotion

My daughter had the exact same thing..also told it was eczema..they told me.to keep her skin moisturized but i find that not putting on so much cream actually allowed it to dry out some..she doesnt scratch n it doesn't seem to bother her..she has no fever n ive changed all her soaps n lotions n detergents..my first had baby eczema n she grew out of it so im hoping this one too..with me not putting so much cream on it her skin seems very dry but it doesnt bother her n it looks so much better but i will put something on her once a day

Try oatmeal baths, after that do not rub him dry, pat him dry and apply non scented baby lotion! Hopefully that will help, his little cheeks looks so irritated try when giving him a bath dipping the washcloth in the oatmeal and putting it on his cheeks, it should help the inflammation and soothe it a little! Honestly looks like eczema, the steroidal ointments they give you are so hard on their little skin 🥺

I have nickel allergies and get rashes if I eat foods with nickel in them.  My daughter use to get it too.  Once I removed nickel from my diet and hers the rashes went away.  So it could be that.  She would get them on her belly too.

Might be from teething. My son just got over the same thing & it was because of his teeth, but who knows exactly. Keep an eye on it
