Baby Girl Arrived!
We made it to 39 weeks exactly and the inducement was by far as smooth as silk. My firstborn was traumatic as my waters broke at 28, and they kept me in the hospital and him in until 32, along with the NICU. If every pregnancy was like this second one, I would be pregnant non-stop. Our baby girl, Eliza, was born at 1:31 PM on 12/11/19 weighing 7 lb, 10.5 oz and 21” long and absolutely perfect. I also had a “Grey’s Anatomy” moment because her shoulder got caught in me since my pelvis is apparently super small, so a nurse climbed on top of me to help get her out. I hope my Mom got a picture of that one, and baby was totally fine, just something like you see in an intense ER scene. We all had a good laugh about it later and I truly have the best OB in the world. I met her randomly 5 years ago while I was stuck in there trying to keep my 1st one in. She’s been by my side this entire journey, and since we knew I would have to be induced at 39 very early on, she scheduled her work schedule so she could deliver. Then she stayed almost 10 hours after finishing a 72 hour shift because she promised me she’d be with me until the end. What a day and the best Christmas gift ever! Hard to believe she’ll be 3 weeks tomorrow!
