Normal?

I had a failed induction I stopped dilating at 4cm so I had a c section it was the most painful thing I've ever experienced I screamed until they finally gave me medicine to sedate me is this normal ? Most people act like the only type of pain or discomfort they feel is pressure I felt like I was actually having my baby vaginally.

You mean you had pain your csection? That's not normal and a huge operation and woukd formally complain x

I just had my 2nd c section yesterday. My first all I felt was pressure. Now YESTERDAY I felt everything it was sooooooo painful they had to fully sedate me and I woke up 2 hours later in the recovery room very confused. Idk what went wrong the second time around but it certainly wasn’t normal.

Everyone’s pain tolerance is different. I didn’t feel uncomfortable until it was time to push at which it was too late for an epidural. My body knew what to do and it all worked out. I loved every part of my birth experience but I know not everyone has that.

You shouldnt feel any pain during a csection. Some pressure at the most but no real pain. I would file a complaint for sure

If there’s time to give you a spinal block you shouldn’t feel anything except a bit of tugging/pulling, no pain. But if it’s an emergency, sometimes they don’t have tome to administer a spinal block, and I don’t think an epidural would make you completely numb.
I’ve heard stories of women feeling excruciating pain during an emergency c-section just because there was no time to numb the mother completely. I’m sorry you had to go through it
