Getting 19mo from my bed into his own?

So my youngest is 19 months old and he's slept in my bed since he was 1 month old. I'm pretty sure hes too old for the CIO method etc etc but does anyone have any tips for getting him in his own bed? His toddler bed is currently in his big brothers room (3years) but I can move it in my room to begin with if need be :) I'm due baby #3 in June so thought now is better late than never! Thanks in advance.

Put his mattress on the floor next to your bed if you don’t want to move the toddler bed. Obviously he’s going to want to get into your bed but if you can lay with him and each night gradually separate yourself from him. Ie lay with him at 1st few nights then, next step sit next to his bed till he falls asleep, then move each night closer to the door. Once he’s happy to sleep by himself move him to his own bedroom. This is how I done it with my oldest. Youngest son was in his big brother room from 6months but still sat next to him, till he fall asleep and slowly moved each night till I only had to sit by the door. Then just stopped that completely when he was fine getting himself to sleep.
