So I am 19 and my recent ex had gone down on me and I contracted HSV1 herpes on my vagina. We recently broke up because he started to become controlling. I was scared to end things because I felt like no other man would love me because of me having herpes and the stigma that follows it. I determined it was better to be alone than be stuck with a man who wouldn’t want me to hang out with my friends or family. Has anyone else dated with her herpes? How can you tell someone and them not freak out? I’m just scared I’ll get embarrassed and I really do want to live a normal life but I’m just not sure what to do. I’m honestly just terrified.
