Do you burp after breastfeeding?

Just gave birth 3 days ago. Day one I wasn’t burping after feeding. The baby got the hiccups and was gagging on her spit. I was then told to burp her after every feeding. I’ve been doing I’m that now but people find it so weird. It’s hard because one I burp the baby is fussy and wants to feed again.

I burp after boob and bottle. It’s only frustrating when it takes forever for him to burp. Sometimes I’ll think he doesn’t need to burp after trying but when I lay him down he starts crying because of the gas and then I continue until he finally burps. I find he burps sooner after breastfeeding than with bottles though

I always burp my baby. I find he stops eating when he needs to burp, so I need to burp him so he can get a full feed. Now that he’s bigger, sometimes he’ll just pull off burp and keep going lol

My 3 week old is pretty gassy, I have to burp after every feed or he will spit up all over himself. When babies have gas it can be painful and they act like they’re still hungry (rooting/crying..you know)

I don’t tend to burp at night but he screams midway through a feed from gas pains

Every feed! 
I didn’t so much as my little one got older through the night .. but I deffo did after every feed for a long time. 
Helps calm reflux, indigestion, build up in throat, stops chocking, and trapped wind. 
For an adult if you get trapped wind or gag about, once that’s clear you can then start to eat again .. it’s same for a baby x

I voted yes, I burp between boobs, but if he falls asleep I don’t wake him to burp.

You should be burping between feeds and after and this helps with baby regulating fullness.
