Baby spitting up, does that mean he’s full?

Ki

I’m not worried about overfeeding my baby. He’s a newborn, and I’d much rather he’s over fed than under.

But, when I feed him lately, he tends to spit up a lot of milk when burping him. Sometimes it’s a feed then spit up, then feed and more spit up. It feels like I’m feeding him just for him to spit up because he’ll drink for a minute or two then spit up again. This is usually at the end of his feedings too. He still shows signs he’s hungry (trying to suckle whatever’s near him). Sometimes I’ll just pause and let him wiggle it out on the play mat and he’ll be ok with that. (Sometimes he spits up again anyways.)

My question is, if he’s doing the spit up frequently after eating, should I consider him full?

This is happening when I breastfeed.
