How to get baby to keep paci in mouth???

Question

My almost 6-week old baby doesn’t know how to keep the paci in his mouth. He wants it and starts sucking then if his head is turned it just falls out and he gets frustrated and starts crying. I’ve tried at least 3-4 different pacifiers so it’s not that. Is there a way to train him to suck harder so it stays in and doesn’t fall out so easily?

It’s a time thing- in time they will learn to keep them in if they’re going to. Bare in mind sucking the dummy could be because the baby is hungry- maybe the dummy is spat out as it’s not giving milk?
My 4 weeker will always spit it out if she’s looking for boob

We got the nanobébé pacifiers, and it seems like they are fitted better for babies who don't have a whole lot of suction/smaller mouths. It has honestly helped my little 5week old learn how to suck more effectively. They seem to sit in their mouths a little better too even when not sucking.

The wubbanub pacifiers with the small stuffed animal attached! Works wonders. The paci in their mouth then the animal sits on their chest, helps to keep it in or near the mouth so they can even sometimes get it back in on their own.

He might just not like them in general. Some kids simply won't take a pacifier,  no matter how many you try. My heart goes out to breastfeeding parents of non-pacifier-taking babies, my sister's son is like this and her boobs are out constantly to soothe her son - it's a tough job!
All you can really do is keep offering, and maybe keep trying different kinds. Good luck!
