Progesterone Side Effect?

I have been taking progesterone 100mg vaginally each night for about 1 week. I’m having some irritation and itchiness around my vaginal opening. I’m wondering if it’s a side effect from the medicine. Has anyone else experience this when taking progesterone?

I have a doctor appt tomorrow so I will be sure to discuss this with him and make sure it’s not a yeast infection or something else. Just wondering what other people’s experiences have been. Thanks!
