Will exclusive pumping decrease supply?

I can’t take the pain anymore that comes with him on the nipple and I even use a shield. The shield causes way too much air and it hurts his belly. Can I exclusively pump or will that decrease my supply? We are not on formula and I don’t want to be- hard to afford at the moment.

No your supply will not decrease unless you do not pump or feed. Pump as if you were breast feeding so pump before you feed him or after. You can make a pumping schedule that will help your supply there are support classes. Look them up

I only pump also. Because I wasnt into breast feeding when I first tried and it felt too uncomfortable for me. But I wanted my baby to have breast milk so I now just bottle feed him breast milk instead and it works out good because we are both happy now. I just pump every 4 hours until 2 bottles are made which usually takes me about 20 minutes. I havent seen a decrease of milk at all. Have plenty. But usually at night I will give myself a 5 hour break in between feedings so I can get a little more sleep.
