Has anyone tried the midwives brew?

I don’t wanna hear negative remarks 
Some drs approve of it and some don’t 
So if your against it don’t even reply 
If you’ve tried it, did it work for you? I bought everything but i am not a fan of any of it lol so I know I’ll have a hard time drinking it

I made a milkshake instead of the brew. I used two ounces of castor oil, half a pint of ice cream, two heaping spoonfuls of peanut butter, and some milk. It tasted fine. I was 39 weeks exactly when I drank it in the evening. The next morning, I was having regular contractions. I ended up having my baby that morning after only 8 minutes of pushing. I was already 3 cm dilated and 70% effaced when I drank the milkshake. I'm convinced it's what put me into labor.

It didn’t work for me in terms of labor - it just gave me strong contractions for about 8 hours but my midwife said it did help me dilate 👍🏼 and my baby is fine

I wanted to try it but once I talked to my OB she said there is a possibility that you’ll just be really uncomfortable with a stomach ache and diarrhea. Just as a heads up because I’ve never seen that as a side effect but many people told me about how much shitting they did afterward lol
