Nausea

Seriously need other recommendations on what to do for morning -NOT!- sickness. I am forever wearing my sea bands and chewing nausea gum, ginger gummies and nothing works 😫. Don’t think this is related, but I also almost passed out today at work today. I started to get really dizzy and sweaty and had to lay down in my bosses office for a few minutes. I was terrified, but my coworker told me the same thing happened to her with her third child during the first trimester and it was just a surge of hormones. I really hope that doesn’t happen again, it is not fun at all 😔

Vitamin B6 50 mg + unisom (doxylamine) 25 mg at night helps me a lot. Doesn’t help everyone but is worth trying

Find something you can eat (whatever sounds good) and eat that in small quantities so that you’re never starving. I’ve only had PB&J and cereal today because that’s the only thing that sounds good to me. If I force something else, I’ll get nauseous.

Vitamin b6, 25 mg 3 times a day has helped the severity of my nausea. Still there but way less

Thank you all for the recommendations! I just got B6 and Unisom, but they only had 100mg of B6. Is that too much to take? Should I cut the pills in half?

Cut the pills in halves or fourths. If you look on amazon they have b6 that is 25 mg, so you don’t have to cut it

Just like everyone else is saying, the Unisom and B6 combo may help. When you have your first appointment you can ask for prescription meds too. Also, regardless of how bad you feel trying to eat every few hours, even crackers, helps a lot. I feel the worse when I’ve waited to long and can feel light headed too with it.

B6 and Unisom has really helped me. And don’t ever let yourself get hungry. I’ve had to force myself to eat because I know as soon as the food gets in my stomach I start to feel better.

I’m not sure if they’re still around, but for my first pregnancy 5 years ago Preggo Pops were a god sent! Maybe look those up?

Had this happen to me. Ended up in ER. Diagnosed with Hyperemesis Gravidarum. See your doctor BEFORE you need to go to ER for IV fluids. Mine told me unisom and B6, and I tried that for almost a week with no help and had to get 2 bags of IV fluids to help me. My heart was beating so hard trying to pump my blood because I didn't have enough water in my system. If it doesn't work for you the first day or two, insist on something different. I've been taking a prescription called Zofran and it works wonders!!! It's also safe for the baby. So thankful I can finally eat and drink again! Dizziness and lightheadedness are symptoms, too, so you should take it seriously. I waited too long thinking I was just being a "baby" and that everyone feels morning sickness. Just don't wait.

Oh no! That sounds terrible 😣. We have our first OB appointment on January 8th so I’m hoping I can hold out a little longer until then. I will definitely be asking her about hyperemesis gravidarum. Thank you!
