What is the 2nd appointment ?

I had my first with the ultrasound, blood, and everything. So what consists of the 2nd appointment??

We don’t do fetal dopplers at our office until minimum 16 weeks just because sometimes baby can hide and we don’t wanna stress any moms out. Usually it’s a pee sample, bloodwork, if you didn’t get it before and just some talking. They’ll check blood pressure, weight and heart rate also. Not too exciting lol

My understanding is urine sample. Doppler for heartbeat and If doctor can’t find it via Doppler they will do an ultrasound! Pretty basic I’m guessing and not super exciting

Pretty much all the appointments from here on out are going to be boring until your 20 wk scan but then back to boring lol

I had my second appointment at 8 weeks and I never got an ultrasound but they just did urine tests and tested me for utis/stds or anything. Asked the exact same questions the first appointment (little frustrating lol) No Doppler cause it was too early.
