Sleeping through the night?

Question

My son will be 9 months old on the 6th and he doesn’t sleep through the night. He never has. He wakes up every 4 hours on the dot to eat and he pees though his clothes every night as well. I change him as soon as I lay him down for bed. Is this normal to not sleep through the night? Is there anything I can do? I need sleep and I’m just not getting it. We sleep in the same room bc we don’t have a big enough house just yet but he’s in his own bed.

My son wakes every 1-2 hrs to breastfeed. 3 and I almost get worried haha. I would die of happiness if I had 4 hrs at a time. But I feel you. My son fits 12-18 month clothes and is growing out of most 12 month. Some babies truly need to eat a lot because they are growing at a rapid rate. I just tell myself that one day he’ll sleep through the night, even if it’s a year from now at least there’s an endpoint. Hang in there!

Well you gotta feed the baby when hungry so that may not stop. Best advice for the diapers is to do a size up at night and make sure they are in tight. It worked for me. My son sleeps on his tummy so he would pee right out at night. I sized up and that doesn't happen anymore

This is very normal. My baby will be 9months on the 10th and wakes up 1-4 times a night. You are doing everything right, don’t worry. Sleep is just as developmental as crawling and walking and every baby learns to sleep through the night at their own pace. 
There is an excellent FB group called The Beyond The Sleep Training Project. The members there are very helpful and supportive if you’re looking for advice and tips on how to cope with the lack of sleep. It’s also helpful to see how normal this is.

Sposie Booster Pads (from Amazon) in the diaper are what helped my daughter to stop peeing through her diaper. She doesn't wake up from a wet diaper anymore which is great!

My guy wears a size 3. His older brother wears a 5. I size him up to a 5 for bedtime and he doesn’t leak through that. I would recommend sizing up 2-3 sizes and possibly getting them in nighttime diapers if the regular larger size doesn’t do it.

We tried night time diapers cause she would soak through her jammies too, and since the change it hasn't happened.

What all hVe you tried ? Some babies just don’t sleep through all the way. :/ some tips: make sure to follow an eat play sleep schedule (feed when they wake up let them play and sleep- not to be confused with play eat sleep where they wake up and then play a bit before they eat). If he’s only waking up once a night though I’d honestly be ok with it for now and it will get better. I know that’s easier said than done. Is he eating enough throughout the day to make up for the longer stretches at night? Have you tried letting him cry when he wakes up in the middle of the night to see if he outs himself back to bed? I’m sure it will get better just will take some time. Best of luck to you

My baby kept waking up because he couldn't put himself back to sleep. I slowly weaned him from night feeds and I sleep trained him at 6 months and he sleeps all night without a peep. I also use overnight diapers to help with leaks. My first son i had to use spoosie pads in them too because he was a big night wetter.

Don’t have any advice but I do feel it is normal for babies to wake up to eat at night! My son also wakes every 3 to 4 hours at night!
