Tips for breastfeeding ?

Anyone have tips on breast feeding? My newborn was doing so good latching until I started pumping so my husband could help me at night and now will barley latch. Also my right breast will do a 1 oz and then my right will only do 10ml on top of it my boobs still feel full. I don’t have a regular pump yet just one I have to do my self

How old is your LO? You might have introduced bottles a little early making them get lazy with latch. My son was on bottles at first and it took ages to get a good latch because he didn't have to work when we used bottles. Also make sure when bottle feeding you do paced feeding. Don't worry about how much you pump, I don't react to pumps at all and have to hand express if I want to give my boobs a break.

If you’re wanting to breastfeed I would definitely stop bottle feeding for now. It sounds like baby has nipple confusion. Also pumping is not an adequate measure of how much baby is getting bc baby is a lot more efficient at getting milk out rather than a pump. Also it is normal for one boob to produce a lot more than the other. My left has always been better than my right.

My lactation consultant recommended waiting until 3-4 weeks to start pumping and introduce a bottle so they get used to nursing first to prevent nipple confusion and so your body knows how much milk it needs to make and doesn’t think you have twins or triplets
