I was 38+6 been having contractions off and on for months! They started to get really painful for the last few weeks but never went to L&D because once I would lay down they'd get less painful and then go away. Yesterday afternoon I had my appointment while I was sitting and waiting I started having painful contractions!! Even when I sat down I had tears running down my face. My doctor told me go to the hospital right away! I was at 2cm cervix still up high.. They told me to walk around the hospital and that they would check me in 2 hours..I progressed 1-2cm every like 4 hours. At 4cm they were so bad I couldn't even talk and got the epidural, let me tell u it numbed me so bad I couldn't feel anything at all!!! No tingling or anything I've had one before but it didn't make me lose complete feeling of my lower body like it did this time, anyway the nurse last checked me I was 9 1/2cm as soon as she left the room I felt a sharp and sudden pain on my right side.. And lots of pressure I yell at my boyfriend to call the nurse because the pain was extreme and I wasn't feeling anything at all since I had the epidural so it scared me. The nurse runs in and says " ok don't worry let's see what's going on" she lifts up my blanket and looks at me with shock and says get the doctor in here quick!!! At that very moment I just knew it was my baby coming out!! She was like I have his head in my hands..I gave two quick pushes and he's out! Haha right on my bed! My boyfriend face was priceless when he seen that pain was our baby coming out! I had no idea because of how numb I was down there!! I was just thinking What the hell is going on I could get stabbed 100 times and not feel a thing but I can feel this!?!? What's going on!!! Little did I know my body was pushing my baby out...😂 But he's here and perfectly healthy! 7lbs 14.4oz 19 inches long. Good luck ladies may u all have healthy babies and a smooth labor! Much love 💙
