How hard is it having 2 kids under 2?

My son will be 23 months when I have my second. I’m terrified haha! He’s a great sleeper, but who knows what will happen when I bring a baby home!

My son turned 2 right before I had my daughter. Once we got into a routine it was a lot easier. They're 3&1 now. There are hard days and there are not so hard days.  I absolutely love their bond and watching them play.

I just had my second son on December 21st. My first is 20 months old. I will say that if I didn’t have my husband to help, I would more than likely be losing my mind. I am thinking once we get into a routine it will be a little easier, it’s just hard right now because I breastfeed and it seems like all my newborn wants to do is eat eat eat so while I’m trying to feed him is when my 20 month old likes to try and get into trouble lol. Most of the time I have my newborn strapped to me in a baby carrier so I can use both of my hands to care for/play with my toddler.

My girls are 17 months apart and I honestly don’t find it very difficult. They love playing together and my oldest really loved helping take care of her little sister when we first brought her home. We also bought her a baby doll so when we’d give the baby a bottle or a bath, she’d either help or she’d do the same with her baby. They’re three and one and a half now and they are perfect playmates.

My oldest was 21 months old when her baby brother was born. Now he’s 2.5 months old and she’s 23 months old. Honestly, the first couple weeks are tough because you’re tired and still trying to figure out how to juggle two kids...but it’s not been a bad experience for me. I love it! I just kind of added the baby into my toddler’s already developed daily routine and went with it. Some days I don’t get much done until my husband gets home, but that’s okay. You can always get housework done later. I just try not to stress over the small stuff. I notice one thing that helped a lot in the beginning was waking up with the baby a little bit before the toddler wakes up. This way you can get baby changed/fed so when your toddler does wake up, you can focus on them a little better to get their day started! It’ll be easier than you think. 😉

My son turned 2 a month before our daughter was born. Some days are easier than others. It’s nice because he understands a lot and can mostly communicate but he’s still very needy. Overall I think it’s fun though but I wouldn’t have 3 this close together haha.

Mine have the same excat gap. The first few weeks are a little rough. It is hard, you can sleep when the baby does because you have a toddler. Leaving the house takes an additional 20 to 30 mins. So many diapers. But you will adjust. The baby will slowly sleep longer at night. You will get a routine. Mine youngest is now 7 months and life is great.

It’s hard work I got 22month and a 7 week old but I make sure I get little on to me with getting nappies wipes putting nappy in bin
