hi there. i’m newly married (young yes i’m aware of my decision and the possible consequences with so) and my husband (wow still getting used to that haha) got his first station overseas. we been known since summer and he has met with the appropriate people (numerous times thanks to my paranoia) to know if i would be able to come with. he is still in the states he actually left back to his schooling today and he doesn’t leave until february, i’m finishing up my last bit of college this spring semester so i wouldn’t leave till summer. so my question is what should i be expecting? they said i need overseas screening and i’ve already gotten the id and he put me on his orders tomorrow. his command has already *said* they would approve (we never know though lol) but idk how to do the overseas screening at all. he will be back in town in two weeks but i’ll be so busy with school and all so i wanted to have a plan before my semester began. i do live up the road of a military base (army) but it isn’t the same branch he is in (navy) if that means anything? how do i even do the screening? what does that entail? is there anything i should be aware of? thanks in advance and sorry for the long post.
