Sleep with towel under u?

Anyone sleeping with a towel under them worrried their water will break in bed ? Do I need to do this ? 
I’ve had no contractions but my hubby is worried about our mattress

No 😂 a towel won’t hold up against your water breaking. If you really want to do something get a waterproof mattress cover

Naw, a good gush would soak right through a towel anyways, but you could get a mattress protector just incase if you want. My water broke with no contractions, but from what I understand that’s actually pretty rare.

No, because the chances of it spontaneously breaking before you are in active labor is pretty slim.

Thanks ladies !!! We have a mattress cover but in the past my son wetting bed leaked thru it too so don’t think it’s that strong

I sleep with a towel under me to collect the puddles of sweat that pour off me but if ypur water breaks it'll be useless lol

When my water broke with my first, I was laying on the couch and felt it burst with an audible 'pop' and felt the warm rush of fluid. I called out to my husband to run for a towel and he grabbed one and I put under me and was able to get up and walk over to our half bath and change clothes. My couch didn't get wet at all... so if you were awake and cognizant enough, a towel may help. At least in my experience. 🤪

A towel will not do anything lol my water broke while I was laying in bed and a towel was not going to do anything for the Niagara Falls gush I had. Even with large pads I still soaked through 3 pair of sweat pants from my water breaking to getting to the hospital

Weeks now.

You can get a mattress protector pretty cheap and totally worth it with my first baby my water broke in bed.

A towel wont protect much. You need a proper mattress protector. Puppy pads help but still.
