Hello ladies ,

My son is 5m will be 6m on the 15th. He was a 29 weeker. His 15lbs 2oz . I mostly breast feed and he drinks 24oz of Neosure in one day , so I break it down 5 feedings of 2oz . Okay , a couple weeks ago, I took him to the doctor he was running a fever . I thought okay , maybe ear infection , but no the doctor said, it must be a UTI. He sends me to the children hospital and they do a bunch of blood work and a urine test (painful to watch they put a catheter) okay they said , no UTI. I go to his follow 2 days after he was seen at the hospital. The MA said , the hospital was trying to get a hold of you because his culture came back positive for a UTI . I said , okay there they said he didn’t have one . I wait for the doctor and he said , I want a ultrasound of his bladder and kidneys to make sure everything okay . He gives me antibiotics for 10 days then a follow up . He said , okay he looks good , but ultrasound wasn’t until today . I go today for his ultrasound and while I’m driving back home the doctor calls me and said , I got his results . I said , that was quick you said , it would take till Tuesday . I start panicking . He said , my son had a UTI before that we didn’t catch . That he had fluid on top of the kidneys . That he wasn’t going to lose sleep over it as in he wasn’t worry over it , but he was sending him to a specialist. He said his bladder was fine and kidneys only thing the fluid on top . He said , don’t worry if something comes up we will worry together . I’m still worried 😭 anyone gone through this . I’m so scared and I’m trying to keep calm . Is like, I went into panic mode . Even though he said , nothing to worry as of now, but why does he have fluid on top of his kidneys and why did I not catch is other UTI. 😔
